About Chews Life

Chews Life Dog Rescue was founded by a group of dog lovers in Los Angeles, CA. We are dedicated to re-homing and providing love to dogs from local high kill shelters, abandoned strays, and neglected dogs of all breeds. We are primarily based in Los Angeles but also work in Orange County, Riverside County, and San Diego County. We save dogs off of the streets and from local animal shelters and put them into loving homes. All of our dogs are in foster care or in board/train programs; we do not currently own boarding or kennel facilities. We pride ourselves on giving second chances to dogs who no one else will give a chance to. We primarily rescue bully breed dogs who have been deemed "aggressive" due to past abuse or neglect. We work closely with dog behaviorists and trainers to rehabilitate these dogs and change the public's perception of dogs. We are firm believers that a dog is only as good as the person leading him/her; we are here not only to save dogs from euthanasia but also to help teach the public about dog psychology and learn how to take responsibility for how a dog behaves.
